This Matrix allows you to compare over 30 Real Estate Contact Management and CRM software products across 350 features, while learning about all the possible features defined in a comprehensive glossary.

 

 

NOTE: Do not expect to see 2013 information. At this point because the vendors are responsible for updating the Matrix, it is not as current as I would like, but the bulk of them are from 2010 and 2011. Getting some of the vendors to update their product is like pulling teeth. There is still far more information in one place on this Matrix than anywhere else on the Internet, and unlike all of the individual vendor site comparisons, it does not list only the features that that particular vendor wants to brag about. It is an even assessment across the board. There is more than enough information to eliminate many CRMs based on your needs. It gives you a better starting point than you can get anywhere else. If a CRM has most of what you want but lacks a few features, ask me if they have those features yet. Also, the glossary in and of itself is a very valuable tool, as it teaches you about the vast majority of different features that are available.

Please read and follow these directions carefully. There is no support available.

  • Make sure you have all windows minimized or closed before starting. There is a tendency to 'lose" the Matrix window behind another one.
  • The first screen that comes up after you enter your logon and password will say - "The Web page you are viewing is trying to close the Tab. Do you want to close the tab. " Click YES.
  • Allow 15 - 60 seconds for it to load. This is a huge file. The initial page load, and the comparison page load takes a while. Scrolling around in it does not.
  • Virtually all of the Categories and subcategories are linked and defined in the Glossary, so you can see exactly what the field means. Very often, what the category says is inadequate to communicate what it is all about. Please make extensive use of the glossary as it is very educational.

To get the most out of this Matrix, PLEASE read the following before using:

  • This is a very large database for a Web page. Please allow it time (as much as 30- 60 seconds) to load when first going to it, and when doing comparison selections. It moves quickly after the page loads, as far as scrolling vertically and horizontally.

  • The product vendors have access to their information 24/7, and can update their product's information whenever they choose. Note the "Date Matrix Last Updated" date, which they are also completing. Virtually all of the information supplied in the Matrix is supplied by the product vendors themselves. If you have found that a vendor has supplied incorrect information about their product, please e-mail us with the specific field that is wrong. If we confirm that it was incorrect, we will add "1" to the count in the "Incorrect information complaint" field.

  • The top two columns are not written by the vendors, they are written by me. The vendor has the ability to discuss what is there with me, but can not edit it themselves.

  • Possibly the most important field of all is not in this Matrix. Feedback. That's where I come in. I will be happy to discuss the consensus of the many hundreds of opinions I have been privy to about any of the products.

Some background on the content and origin of the Matrix

Historically until the relatively recent past, there were only a small handful of choices available for Real Estate agents to organize their contacts, properties, and transactions. As a matter of fact, there were really only two that were known to all but a very few people. As of this writing there are 40 on my site here, and more coming. That is why I became a broker/reseller for almost all of them.

 

I use this Matrix to help callers decide which product is best for them. That's why I created it in the first place. If you want to sit down and analyze the pros and cons of each for yourself, then this is exactly what you have been looking for. It is unique in the industry, and combined with the glossary, will teach you much of what you want to know about Real Estate Contact Management and CRM software.

 

Everything you ever wanted to know about Real Estate Contact Management and CRM but did not know what to ask - is now available in an informative and easy-to-use Matrix.

 

It took more than 6 months of research, interviews and design. It started as a way for me to be able to answer all of your questions when you called to ask about the various features of each. After mentioning it to some people and hearing the interest it generated, I decided to make it available to the public, along with some of what I know on the subject in the form of a glossary 

 

The Matrix will allow you to compare any of currently 33 products side-by-side, across over 350 features/topics/categories. Besides being able to compare the products features, there is a 15,000+ word glossary to which they link, which will teach you most of the capabilities in most of the products available on the market today.

 

 I am affiliated with all of these as a reseller. Only three of40 have opted not be affiliated with me. When I started this I had to reach out to them. Now they all reach out to me when they find me. This is one of the reasons that purchasing through my site is a benefit to you. If you are not happy, they hear me.

 

Gathering the data on each product started with a 3 - 5 hour GoToMeeting interview between myself and the CEO/developer of the product, to complete the initial raw Matrix. All the vendors now have 24/7 password protected access to the data in their product in order to edit it and keep it up to date. There is a field which contains the last date they revised the data.

 

Most products are targeted at North American residential resale agents. Some combine that with BPO's; REO's; Long Term Rentals; Short Term Rentals; International Sales; or Commercial Real Estate. Some are focused on marketing materials and light on CRM. Some are relatively simple, while some are seriously powerful. None of them are perfect, and none of them have it all, but some come pretty close, depending upon your needs.
