Extremely. I have
taught Top Producer in my office for a couple of years, and people find that
very difficult. I find Advantage Xi much simpler and very intuitive,
especially if you have used Top Producer.

There is pretty much
nothing I cannot do with this program. I would say I know it 95+% I find
it easy, but please note that I am somewhat computer savvy.
For the basics it is
very easy. I’m still working on the rest.
Easy enough if you read the manuals
2) Are you using
the video training clips (in the "Market News" section, and are they helpful?
I watched all 125 training video clips during the trail period, and yes
they were excellent.

Yes, they are very
helpful. One comment I made is that Mark should start the illustration with
more records in the data base than just 1 or 2.

Very stable. I have
had two minor issues. Twice I had the scroll bar disappeared on the e-mail
window, but closing then opening the e-mail window fixes that. The other is
where one certain company sends me e-mail that causes a scripting error. Tech
support said if they get more complaints about this they will suppress the
error, but gave me a workaround that was totally satisfactory to me.

I have no problem with
stability...and as for other issues within the program about the only odd
thing is that sometimes things do not save "throughout" the program...for
example if I add an email address or phone number to a contact and "save"
it, sometimes it takes some time for that new info to show up on other
screens. The odd thing is that this doesn't always happen....just once in
awhile. I can find no explanation for it that makes sense from a logical
computer standpoint other than that the SAVE option doesn't always act as a
REFRESH option for other screens. But the info will show up eventually.
Odd eh?
Very stable once I got the initial
setup worked out
I’ve had a couple of problems with the address book search
“locking up” and not allowing me to clear the search field. If I close and
re-open the address book it resolves. I will be contacting Mark about it.
4) How has
tech-support been?
Tech support is always great. I had one
more odd issue and they told me it was an old problem they thought they had
fixed. They sent a patch that self-installed and tool care of it.

Great support. No problem with tech support although one time I did not get a
response. I put that down to a fluke because there were possibly 2 or 3 other
times when I asked a question and got a correct and fast reply. One really
good thing, I accidentally deleted a type of report that I thought I was not
going to use....well it turns out it was a VERY valuable tool....because I
deleted it I could not simply recreate it, and tech support actually wrote a
small program that reinstalled that section for me. I was embarrassed! But
the service was great.

Fine, except when 2
or 3 of them got the flu and no one was in the office.

Absolutely
fantastic. They have answered my questions, and any issues very quickly. I
e-mail them, and either that day or the next e-mail me back, and their answers
are accurate.

I’ll keep you in the loop from now on. The reason I called you the other day
was because I had left prior messages for Mark (and the extension for his tech
department as well) and got no answer all that day. Left one on Wednesday
evening to call me Thursday morning- nothing all day- not even a voicemail
saying can’t-speak-right-now-but-I’ll-call-you-back. Tried again Friday –
that’s when I called you mid day and then…. within a minute of you calling me
back….he called. I asked him if he was the only one around to answer tech
questions, and he said yes, at the moment. That was my biggest concern – him
being my only help-line for tech questions- especially if we’re to experience
delays in return calls.

When I have spoken with Mark,
he’s been awesome. I like how he looks at his clients as a mastermind system-
always trying to better the software and it’s updates. He’s been attentive to
our specific situation and is patient in working out certain details. The
advantage of working with a smaller shop.
Tech support is awesome
So far I’ve only
worked with Mark and he has been excellent and very open to new ideas and
wonderful about explaining the intent of some of the features. Very patient
man.
5) Anything you
would like to add?
I would like to see an "ADVANCED" section of videos....getting
into modifying and creating reports or more advanced things in other sections
of the program. I can do it (modify reports) but I wonder if their are
more "cool" things I could do but am not aware of. This would open a can of
works that tech support wants to keep closed, but I like to be able to modify
some of the stuff to duplicate normal forms and reports I use within my own
business and company. The forms they have are fine....generic but fine. But
to be fair, I have also been told on more than one occasion that if there is
something I want but don't see, that they will create it for me if
possible...simply outstanding.

So in a nutshell, I have
spoken highly about you to them, and about them to you, and have found the
whole experience and the product to be great....almost fun at some points!
I like it but there
are some bugs still in it. I have sent Mark some emails this week but he has
been out of town. He is supposed to be back today. I don't think it will
take him long to fix it. He has an update but he did not want to do it until
he go back just incase there were bugs in it. I can respect that. I am glad I
bought it.
I used to be in Information Technology before becoming a
Realtor. Therefore, I try virtually every program out there. Usually, I find
all their shortcomings quickly and then uninstall them. Advantage Xi is the
first program that I wanted to keep and when the 30 day trial was over, I
happily purchased the program and would highly recommend it. In fact, I am
going to cancel Top Producer as I feel that Advantage Xi is far superior. The
only thing that Advantage Xi lacks that Top Producer had is the CMA module in
Top Producer is fantastic. However, Toolkit CMA will augment this program
perfectly.

I love the program, use it
all day long, and have recommended it to others. I absolutley love how when
I have a sale, I can use the PARTIES tab and easily add people from my
contacts list into the transaction. That is such a time saver. Then I
simply print out a report for my office staff and for the other parties
showing all the contact info for all the parties involved. Lenders love it
when I email them a PDF with the buyer, seller, both agent, and title
company info on it (I used one of their existing pending sales reports that
I easily modified for my personal use). Lots of cool things like that,
plus I have FAR better tracking abilities for active buyers, potential
buyers, active listings, potential listings...tons of stuff. I really like
it and only wish I had bought it long ago.

One last issue
I have, that I have not asked support about because I can by-pass it easily
enough....when I open a folder on my computer, I should be able to
right-click a file and then select the option to SEND TO -MAIL
RECIPIENT. This should attach the file to a blank email that I can address
and send. It won't allow me to do this because it says I don't have a
default email service. Well this is wrong because Xi is my default
accourding to my internet mail service options tab.

I can attach
and send files, just not using the right-click method I described. So as
you can see, this is no big deal, it is more an old habit I have.
...And…you were right. I
LOVE THE MARK-IT ADVANTAGE SOFTWARE ! It picks up where a lot of systems
break down. I think the system is very user friendly - even my non-techie
call coordinator thinks so. It addresses the customizability issues in many
ways. I haven’t probably gone past the tip of the iceberg yet in terms of
all it’s functions, yet it seems to have all the answers. We’ve had other
contact management software before so we’re not newbies at this. Trust me
when I say this, I’m not easily impressed - and, with Market Advantage XI,
I’m VERY impressed!

Now…that being said, If I
had my druthers (and I may be missing this part of the learning curve), I’d
do a few small tweaks to Mark-It’s software. (1) After completing a
calendar/event item, I’d have it show under notes (ex. ‘send this letter or
that’ crossed out as completed would be fine)… 2) the notes should be
wrapped text so they can be seen upon quick glance of that tab rather than
(if you get a long winded note taker, you have to click into each one to see
the entire note/conversation, etc) . Other than that, I’m loving it. (I’m
passing this info onto Mark as well, just so you know)

Of course, I still
have questions about the program. The videos are great, but, I haven't found
all the answers to my questions, yet. I will continue to watch the videos as
you suggested. I realize there is always a learning curve with any new
program and I am trying not to get frustrated. Tech support couldn't be
better. I was on the phone with Mark for a couple of hours getting my palm
all configured and ready to sync. I asked him about pop up emails (to alert
when a new one arrives, like in Outlook) and he said he would look into that
and hopefully add that in to the program. I haven't had any issues with the
program operating efficiently, just the "user" portion. Thanks for checking
with me. I will (and have already) refer you to anyone looking to purchase
types of programs you offer. And of course, I will contact you if I have any
questions or problems. Thanks for "being there" for us on the forums, etc.

Great alternative to Top
Producer. So much for stability, ease of use and functionality
I’ve had experience learning other programs on my own so it
isn’t overwhelming, but I would love to have a list of definitions. It
would make it a lot easier to figure out the “goals” of certain sections.
Mark is considering it.
Hi Gary, thanks for your call this week. I
was finally able to mesh my schedule with Mark’s and we had a very
productive 2 hours tech session. It turns out that since I fully utilize
all 15 “palm allowable” categories in Outlook I was maxed out and Advantage
xi’s additional 5 categories prevented a successful synch. Mark and I got
that worked out and I was then able to accurately synch my palm data into
Advantage xi.
I had a really great conversation with Mark
and I was blown away by both he and his software. I am now trying to
explore its basic capabilities, however, I can already see how truly full
featured and powerful a tool it will be for my business. I will be an
enthusiastic supporter of Mark, his company and his software. Thanks so much
for the recommendation and your support.
