First and foremost, make a backup of your data before
trying to remove anything. Now that that's out of the way, there are a
couple of ways to do
this...
The automatic uninstall...1. Close all programs on your computer, go
into your Start menu, and select Control Panel. Once in Control Panel, open
Add/Remove Programs.
2. When Add/Remove Programs populates a list of programs, find AgentOffice,
select it, and click Remove. (You may want to take a look for the APP
Interface in that list first, not sure if you are using it, but some
versions require it be uninstalled first if you are using it.)
3. This should start the uninstall process. Follow the prompts until you
get to the part asking if you want to uninstall Data and Program Files. At
this point you would tell the uninstall program to ONLY uninstall the
PROGRAM FILES. This SHOULD leave your database intact on the master
computer. I say SHOULD, because that backup made at step 1 may come in
handy later.
The manual uninstall...
1. Open My Computer, and browse to your C:\ drive.
2. Once you have your C:\ drive open and you are looking at the contents of
it, check for an OLS folder. If it is there delete it. Either way, move on
to step 3.
3. Still in your C:\ drive, open the Program Files Folder.
4. Once in Program Files, look for an AgentOffice folder. If it is there
delete it. (At this point you should have deleted a folder either at step 2
or 4. If you have not found either folder, call support and they can walk
you through searching for it.)
5. Couple of other things we need to take care of. Click on your Start
menu, and go to Search. Tell the search options to search for All Files and
Folders. When it asks you for All or Part of the File Name, enter "ola*.ini"
(without quotes) and make sure it is set to search in the C:\ drive. It
should find two files in C:\WINDOWS (or C:\WINNT), delete those two files.
