Please understand that if you are one of the majority of
agents, that has never imported and exported databases before, this
procedure may be over your head. It would take pages and pages to make it
comprehendible to 'anyone'. If you try this and can't get it to work for
you, I'm available at an hourly rate.
We can do it online, together, on your computer.

If you are switching from Top
Producer 6i to Agent Office, you need to export your contact database from
TP, and then import it into AO.
NOTE: You MUST export all contact files, but only
contact files from TP, for the following to work.
When importing the file into AO, you
have to map the TP fields, to the AO fields. You can do the mapping
yourself, or you can download this file and use it instead. It is a
'.cti' file that you can 'load' during the import process. Here's how
you do it.
First you have to download the file from here.
Click here to download the 'tpimp.exe'
file. Unzip the file to your 'Desktop' by double clicking on it.
Now for the import. Click on: Start, All Programs, Agent
Office, (You MUST have a backup from immediately prior to doing your
import), Yes, Comma Delimited (ASCII), Find your import file, Load, find
the 'tpimp.cti' file on your desktop and click on it, Open.
Note that you will now see that many
of the fields on the left, the TP fields, will be 'mapped' to the AO fields
on the right. You shouldn't need to map any more fields than are already
mapped. If you fell you do have some, go ahead.
Note that the following 'User
defined' fields will be used. If you already have these fields
defined as something else, you will either need to redefine them, assign
them to different user defined fields, or click on 'Ignore' for those
fields, which means you won't import the fields referenced.

If you are going to do this, before attempting this
procedure, you REALLY should also read my companion article -
