Customize Background
AgentOffice v10 provides

desired images such as company logo or personal images if they choose.
Functionality is similar to defining “wallpaper” for the operating system.

To Customize Background
Below are the steps to
customize AgentOffice background:
-
With all modules closed, select Tools > Setup
Options.
-
Double clicks Customization Settings and the
following customization screen displays:

-
The user selects the Browse button and selects
desired background image. Once the user selects the background image, the user
may select Image Position. Then selects desired background color. For example,
the default AgentOffice install will default with a centered AgentOffice logo
and with the background color of white.

·
If active “data” is not
located in the Program Files directory, the AgentOffice upgrade will not move
the AgentOffice data. The data will remain in original location.
o
Example 1 – if program
is c:\ols and data is c:\ols\data, upgrade will leave data in original location.
o
Example 2 – if
networked and upgrade a workstation, the upgrade will not move the data on a
workstation.
·
If active “data” is on
the local machine and located in program files, the system will automatically
move the data to the ….\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application
Data\AgentOffice\ (exact path may vary depending on OS) and display the
following message when upgrading.

·
In a multi-user
environment, the server has been upgraded with a data move and when upgrading
the workstation the upgrade cannot locate the data, the system will display the
following message (for more detailed multi-user upgrade information, refer to
the Getting Started Guide) (If data hasn’t been moved, upgrade will proceed

Backup/Restore Updates
The backup and restore program
has been overhauled and the following are items of note:
·
Updated look with tab
driven functionality.
·
The backup file by
default includes time stamping in the file name, “olsback_timestamp.zip”.
A user may continue backup to the same location and not have to delete or rename
prior backups. With time stamping, each file has its own unique file name. (User
may disable file time stamping in the backup settings if they desire.)
·
The restore no longer
restores to the location the data was when the backup was performed. The data
now looks to the ini file for data path and restores to active data location.
General Information
·
The olagnt32.ini
defaults to the ….\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application
Data\AgentOffice\, but may be stored in any “writeable” location on machine. The
AgentOffice product now looks to the registry for olagnt32.ini location.
o
First looks to the
registry string HKEY_Current_User\Software\FNRES\AgentOffice “iniFile” for
olagnt32.ini location.
o
Then looks in
HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\FNRES\AgentOffice “iniFile” for olagnt32.ini
location.
·
Document Manage now has
Drag-n-Drop functionality.
o
For example, you may
have the Documents tab open on a contact record. The user can drag a document
from a Windows Explorer folder to the documents tab.
·
The Scheduler has
updated controls and because of this the “legend” functionality or steps have
changed. To use the “legend” function, with the Month view, select the date,
hold down “Shift” and select the end date and the Legend dialog appears.
