There are three things you want to be confident in when you refer someone to another agent:

• That they will be serviced well, and that they thank you for placing them in that agent's hands

• That you are kept apprised of the status of the transaction, without having to chase down the agent

• That last but not certainly not least, you get paid!

Who better to refer them to than the agent who wrote the book on servicing clients by being organized?

If you have reviewed my Trans-Plans listing and closing plans, you may have noted that part of them insures consistent follow-up with referring agents, including a calendar item to confirm delivery of a referral check the day of closing!

Prior to branching off into technology, I closed 40 - 50 transaction sides per year with a part time assistant and a buyer's agent. I frankly have no desire to attain that level of production again. My technology company, RE-ACT, LLC runs itself for the most part at this point, and I rarely travel any more for speaking engagements. My goal is to keep it to a maximum of 15 or 20 transaction per year, working only with referrals. I welcome yours!
